Influenster Bloom VoxBox

I always enjoy getting the notification that a box is headed to my mailbox from Influenster. I steer clear of all the teasers so I’ll be fully surprised by the contents when it arrives. The latest fun? The Bloom VoxBox.

Influenster Bloom VoxBox review #BloomVoxBox

Everything looked pretty. But, the real question – what did I think? Here are my personal opinions on each of the items included …

Sunbelt Bakery Granola Bar: Oats & Honey – this was my first time trying a product from Sunbelt Bakery. The chewy granola bar was tasty. Although I only got 2 bites before my 6 year old ran off with it and finished it. Looks like I need to hunt down a box so I can start packing them in his backpack for snacks. This was a definite winner.

Not Your Mother’s Plump for Joy™ Thickening Hair Lifter – I have fine, thin, very straight hair and was excited to see Plump for Joy™ in my VoxBox. The sample size I was sent was 2oz – so pretty decent amount that seemed like it would last me a while. All the excitement fizzled from the first spray. The instructions said to spray it into your hands and then work into hair from ends to the roots.

At first I sprayed just a little since I wasn’t sure how far it would go. Not far. So I sprayed more and more. Carefully worked into my hair from ends to roots and scrunching slightly. Honestly, the only difference afterward was how sticky my hands were! I washed them twice to fully scrub off the product. My hair looked the same even after multiple attempts at styling after I applied it. This is not a product I would recommend.

SinfulColors® Nail Polish – I was sent a glittery blue shade (Teal Midnight). If you watched my unboxing video, you may have heard me comment about the “serious bling” of this polish. It’s much darker & sparklier in the bottle than on the nails, but I do like it. I gave it a try the day I received the box and quickly painted my toenails. Which, at first, panicked my toddler (ack! Mommy’s toes are blue!) and then she wanted in on the fun. But, since 18 month olds don’t sit very long, she got a dot on about 2-1/2 toes. 😉 It was an adventure for our first shared pedi experience.

SinfulColors® Nail Polish Bling: Toes

This polish goes on thicker and stickier than I expected, but adheres well and dries fast. I made a few mistakes. Some I managed to wipe off immediately. Other spots I noticed after, but they peeled right off my skin with the flick of a fingernail. Quick & easy.

This polish is fun and for about $2.99 a bottle, I’d say well worth the price.

Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads – I immediately liked how this box contained several individually packaged pads for nail polish removal. Genius idea for summer vacations and travel in general. Just toss one in your bag and you are ready for a quick change of polish anywhere.

The pads are pretty thick and full of nail polish remover. One pad and I easily removed the SinfulColors® polish from my toes.

Secret Outlast Xtend Invisible Solid – this solid from Secret has a great scent. It goes on smooth and has given me great protection. After a rainy, chilly week last week, our temperatures are finally climbing again and this deodorant helped me keep my cool.

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse® Multi-Purpose Dry Oil – there is an edit in the unboxing video where I had to remove several seconds of me fumbling through what this product was. Stop to read the card. Then restart. I really thought it was a tiny bottle of perfume when I first saw it. Not the case. It’s a multi-purpose oil for use on face, body and hair. I’ve been trying it on my feet where none of my typical moisturizers have helped. It’s been amazing. Yes, it’s oil, but I guess it’s the *dry* factor because it isn’t overly greasy. It goes on well and my feet are finally softer again – just in time for sandals and flip flops! It is pricey, but a little goes a long way so I can see this small bottle lasting me several months.
