Air & Space: Udvar-Hazy Center

July 11, 2016 Sarah Coggins

We took advantage of Dylan’s one week break between school years to head to Virginia and spend time with family. We had planned to drive to Chantilly to visit the Air & Space Museum’s Udvar-Hazy Center during our trip. A cool, rainy forecast on July 4th made it the perfect day for our adventure. Something dry, indoors and, amazingly, not very crowded.

Supplies: July template, Around the World freebie (airplane), and Flashback elements (camera, journaling card) by Sahlin Studio; Project Mouse No 2 elements (staple, star brad) and Project Mouse At Sea (background paper, tape, red & white card, star tab) by Britt-ish Designs & Sahlin Studio.

I knew Dylan would love it, but even Elise enjoyed herself. Both were pointing and in awe of the many airplanes & helicopters throughout plus, of course, the Space Shuttle Discovery.

A big thanks to my brother for capturing the family photo and for helping us keep up with Dylan. 🙂

Have you visited either location of the Air & Space Museum?

How cool that you were able to go there...and that both kiddos enjoyed it so much!
