Last week, finally, we were back to a normal schedule for all after the house cleared of the germs that have been plaguing us (well, me especially) the entire month. And it was a full, busy week …
I had the opportunity to visit the new Chuy’s Tex-Mex restaurant and get a behind the scenes tour before it opened. Elise came along and took the tour on my back in her Líllébaby Complete. It made it a breeze for us to literally see the entire restaurant including the kitchen and walk-in refrigerator as well as enjoy the nacho car (I promise she was happier than she looks – until I refused her a sample of a strawberry margarita. Cue the tantrum. 😉 Thanks to photographer Jonathan Fredin for the shot).
She also helped me with a little DIY project. Check back tomorrow for the tutorial!
And we conquered her 18 month well check plus final vaccine (except for the annual flu shot) until she’s 4 years old. Talk about time flying – how did we get here so fast?
Thursday night I went out again, only this time solo to attend an event as part of the NC Blogger Network for a sneak peek of the weekend’s Southern Women’s Show at the NC State Fairgrounds. I’ve never attended the show so it was interesting to get a peek behind the scenes to get an idea what takes place – lots of beauty, shopping, fashion, food, and shows.
On Friday we visited Dylan’s school to cheer him and his class on during their annual field day events. Both kids happily “cheesed” it up with a selfie with me at the end.
Over the weekend we enjoyed time with friends at a local brewery and a birthday party. Both so much fun. The week ahead is looking a lot calmer. Mostly, I’m just hoping for good weather so we can enjoy time outdoors and maybe explore a new park.
How was your week?
