Candy Store at Crabtree Valley Mall, Raleigh, NC

Candy and Shark Teeth

January 20, 2012 Sarah Coggins

On a cool February day last year, my son and I met up with Allison and her sonĀ at Crabtree Valley Mall. The highlight was visiting the candy store to see the world’s largest gummi bears.

Supplies: Erica Coombs’s Jan Swatch Challenge Freebie patterned papers; Spencer Nugent’s Sketchy Elements vol. 1; Michelle Underwood’s Posie Add On (tape recolored); Jen Allyson’s Real Simple: Polaroid Frames; Rhonna Farrer’s Celebration kit; Stamp Act Jumbled & Just the Way You Are fonts.

We also had the opportunity to see a model of a Megalodon shark jaw up close! It was on loan from the NC Aquariums and quite impressive in size. Definitely not something you would want to meet face to face while swimming in the ocean.

It was much more fun checking it out in the mall and learning a little bit about the history of these impressive, but now extinct mammals.
