Last fall we were invited to a friend’s wedding in the western part of the state. We took advantage of the opportunity and had my mom watch our son so we could take a weekend away just the two of us.
The wedding was in the evening so Saturday morning we headed to Chimney Rock Park for a little light hiking and sightseeing. It was an absolutely gorgeous fall morning. We couldn’t have asked for better weather to explore this part of our state.
