Custom Infant Car Seat Cover

February 8, 2012 Sarah Coggins

After sharing my last infant car seat cover, I had not one but two requests! One was for a Twitter friend who has had me sew a few items for her in the past (actually, I was in the midst of a few more when the request came – thanks, A!). She picked a gorgeous fabric by FreeSpirt for the exterior. It has a teal and gray scallop print.

She let me select the interior fabric. I chose another print in the same line with muted tones.

The imagery is fantastic. It has a lovely fantasy scene with a turtle, girl swinging from a tree, boy sitting under an umbrella in the rain, girl chasing butterflies, etc. Since it doesn’t show well in any photos I took, here’s a thumbnail from the manufacturer’s site:

Supplies: FreeSpirit Prince Charming fabric; thread; velcro.

Congrats on the requests for the seat covers! I really like the fabric choice for this one, soft colors and very stylish.
