A couple weeks ago I shared a special birthday shirt I made for one of my son’s friends. I had a creative spurt and couldn’t stop there. She regularly tailgates (and attends a few games, I believe) with her parents before Duke football games so I made her this Pinterest inspired football t-shirt as our gift:
It was super easy to make. Similar to her Princess Three shirt, I started with a plain white t-shirt purchased from our local craft store.
I sketched out a simple football shape and threads onto the back of Heat ‘n Bond iron on adhesive. After ironing onto brown and white fabrics, I cut out the designs. Then placed onto the shirt and ironed to adhere.
I stitched around the pieces in coordinating threads to complete before adding the finishing touch – a simple bow in blue and white for their team.
The end result is a cute one of a kind football t-shirt that she can now wear for tailgating or anytime.
