Playroom: DIY Framed Mirror

DIY Framed Mirror for the Playroom

March 22, 2013 Sarah Coggins

My latest Pinterest pin to become reality is a wood framed mirror for the playroom:

DIY Framed Mirror for the Playroom

It’s propped up for now (still need to buy hardware to hang it as it won’t last long otherwise with an active 3.5 year old!) next to the basket of dress up items.

Find the original framed mirror tutorial on Shanty 2 Chic blog here. I followed the tutorial, but not exactly as I bought 1×3 boards instead of 1×4. Trent and I simply measured the mirror and cut accordingly. We actually cut the boards a few weeks ago while we had our miter saw out for updates I’m doing in the laundry room. More on that project soon!

Supplies: (2) 1×3 boards; Minwax stain; Liquid Nails adhesive; mirror.

I've been wanting to do this for my bathroom mirrors. But one like you have would be great for my son's bedroom. He LOVES looking at himself.

It definitely would! I'm only putting it in playroom since he likes to see himself for dress up and we didn't have another low mirror down here.

This is awesome. So much prettier than just a basic mirror. Isn't pinterest just the best?

Thanks! And yes - except that I never have enough time for all the projects I pin. ;)
