Ready to celebrate Shark Week with a fun themed drink? Take it up a notch by adding shark straws. These are easy to create and will be the talk of the party!

DIY Shark Straws Tutorial

Supplies

  • Flexible straws
  • Plastic shark toys
  • Drill
  • Safety Glasses

Instructions

Step 1 Select a drill bit of equal size to your straws and, carefully, drill a hole from the toy shark‘s mouth toward it’s belly. Be sure to wear safety glasses to protect your eyes. A vise to secure the toy while drilling may also come in handy.

Step 2 Thoroughly wash the toy shark using liquid dish soap to clean. Allow to air dry if you have time. Or, use a towel to quickly dry it.

Step 3 Insert a flexible straw through the toy shark’s mouth and slide the toy up to the bend in the straw.

Step 4 Place the shark straw into your drink and enjoy!

Cheers!

When the party is over, remove the straws, wash the sharks, and stash them away for next year.
