One of those classic childhood rides that made our “must do” list at the Magic Kingdom last spring? Riding Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

For some reason Trent & I never went on it during our vacations in Walt Disney World pre-kids. During our last family trip, we took out son, and grabbed a buzzer to wait our turn while he played in the indoor play area. Then he decided he wasn’t interested in the ride (too worn out from the long day) so we handed back our buzzer and skipped it.
This time I was hopeful we would ride. Not determined to ride, as I was fully accepting with 2 kids (one being just 2-1/2 years old) that we would definitely move at a slower pace and miss some rides. Dumbo ended up being one of the last rides on our final day at the Magic Kingdom. It was fun. We all enjoyed spinning around and moving up & down. Afterward the kids took a moment to pose in the photo op Dumbo sitting between the 2 ride sections. The sun was intense and in their face, yet they were still excited and full of smiles.
Have you ever ridden Dumbo?
