Last fall I headed to Walt Disney World for a blogging conference at the Contemporary Resort. Most of the time was spent at the resort taking in sessions, absorbing information, and networking.
We did get out for a little fun though including 2 visits to EPCOT. On the final night, I jumped on the monorail with Jen, Whitney, Patty for one final adventure – a quick visit to the Polynesian Village Resort.
Our number one goal? Visit the Pineapple Lanai for Dole Whips! Somehow in 7 previous visits to Walt Disney World, I had never had one of these famous treats. Lucky for us, they are easily attainable at the Polynesian (no park ticket required).
Supplies: Project Mouse Adventure bundle by Britt-ish Designs & Sahlin Studio.
It was a perfect afternoon to enjoy the tropical concoction and stroll the grounds. As with the Contemporary, I had not visited this particular resort since my first visit to Walt Disney World in 1984!
One of the other perks of our visit was being there at the right time to catch the evening Torch Lighting Ceremony. Naturally, being bloggers, we had our phones in hand (actually, Jen was Live on Facebook when it started!) and jumped at the opportunity to catch such an event. Here’s my video of the ceremony:
Have you ever experienced the Torch Lighting Ceremony in person?
