Exploring Duke Gardens

August 25, 2016 Sarah Coggins

On Saturday afternoon we headed to Durham to run an errand and then decided to make an impromptu stop at Duke Gardens since we were close by. It was a bit hot & humid, but we found a shady parking spot and then headed into the Gardens to explore.

Several of the paths we chose were fully shaded from all the trees. The kids spent a good part of the adventure chasing each other ahead of us. Toward the end, I hoisted E up onto my back in the Líllébaby – sweet girl was worn out and needed a little break. She looks asleep in my selfie, but didn’t quite get there. Just a quick rest & recharge before she was down and running around again. Part of our goal was to wear out the kids, but, as usual, I think they wore us out!

Thanks to The Lilypad blog for sharing my layout in their August Challenge Spotlight! So many gorgeous pages featured. Honored to be included.

Sounds like a nice place to enjoy some family time. Bonus for wearing the kids out..but I know that usually means the parents are worn out, too!
