We had fun participating in a Fish Extender gift exchange on our first Disney Cruise last year. When it was time for our recent Very Merrytime Cruise, I signed us up again. This time we chose to create cabin gifts and came up with a fun Family Games themed gift idea.

Family Games Tradition
We play games as a family almost nightly. It’s our evening ritual to reconnect, relax, and unplug before the kids go to bed. We wanted to share a bit of this with the other families in our group by sharing some of our favorite games.

The first obvious choice was Disney Eye Found It card game by Wonder Forge. It’s perfect for ages 3+ and Disney fans.
Our second pick was Left Right Center. We were given this game as part of a Fish Extender gift on our first cruise. It’s quick, fun, and easy to play.
Finally, I created a Photo Scavenger Hunt card for each family to play and help spot some of the fun on the ship and at Castaway Cay. I printed it onto white card stock and laminated to protect from damage as they carried around.

Wrapping It Up
I wanted a way to easily package the games for gifting and storage. I purchased small zippered pouches. They fit all 3 games perfectly, but, honestly, looked boring.
To add a little themed fun, I created a design in Silhouette Studio featuring the DCL logo and “Family Games.” I cut the design from Heat Transfer Vinyl using my Silhouette Cameo and added to the front of the pouches. The new Cricut EasyPress Mini made this process quick and simple. I had all 9 pouches finished in a short time.

Finally, I took a note from our original cruise and made cute little Mickey head gift tags again using the Silhouette print and cut feature. I attached them with red ribbons.

Simple, done and easy to gift.
