My daughter had her first dentist appointment on Wednesday morning. Our visit started off all smiles and selfies. She was pretty confident going back for her appointment and even okay at first in the chair. It took a bit of convincing though from mommy and the hygienist, but she did get a few teeth polished before she lost interest in the process.
Supplies: Thirty-One kit by Amber LaBau and Sara Gleason; Metro kit by One Little Bird; Flashback elements by Sahlin Studio; Per Diem elements by Sara Gleason; On This Day – Dolled Up Template by Mommyish.
Her favorite part was at the end when she got a new toothbrush and a sticker. These are huge prizes for a 2 year old especially when the toothbrush features two of her favorite Disney characters – Mickey & Minnie. My favorite part was hearing that our hard work managing to brush a toddler’s teeth is paying off and there were no concerns. Overall, it was a successful visit. Hopefully, we’ll get a better look at all of her teeth next time.
What are your best tips for helping toddlers with their first dental checkups?
