Last weekend we attended the annual Bug Fest downtown at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. This was first for my daughter & I as the boys went on their own last year while I was in Atlanta for the Type-A Conference.
Per the title, the day was filled with bug related events. We learned about bugs; enjoyed bug related crafts; my son held a bug (just a praying mantis this time – last year I still shudder with thoughts of the photos I saw of bigger bugs he held); and he & Trent ate bugs. Yep. Ate some. Given they were cooked into foods, but a rice crispy treat with mealworms wasn’t exactly tempting to me at all.
You don’t have to eat any bugs to get my latest Friday Freebie. 😉 Just click on the link below. The template contains 12 layers with shadows including photo masks. It is free for personal use only.
