Grandpa’s 86th Birthday

January 27, 2008 Sarah Coggins

A brief post as I’m a bit under the weather today fighting a migraine. Not so much pain at the moment as a drug induced haze courtesy of Zomig. But it’s much better than how I felt earlier. I’m just slower and run down feeling. Needless to say, no creating has occurred.

Yesterday, we traveled a bit northwest to visit my grandfather for his 86th birthday. Below is a photo of me, the birthday boy & my sister. All in all, there were 10 of us for the celebration. We had a good time catching up. And Grandpa enjoyed a couple slices of his favorite cake – coconut.

Grandpa's 86th Birthday

Just realized how behind I am in my scrapbooking. Although I visited with Grandpa for his birthday last year (and have pictures), I have not scrapped it yet. I did make a page 2 years ago for his 84th which I’ll share:

Grandpa's 84th Birthday scrapbook page

Supplies: misc. dark green & blue cardstock from my stash; number templates; EK Success patterned paper; Miss Elizabeth tag; misc. ribbon; Micron black pen.

You're so lucky to be able to drive a short way to see your kin. Great photo of ya'll.

So sorry you are having migraines. Hope you get better soon. I know I'm having neck and head-base pain today. Bummer.

Happy birthday to your grandpa! I'm glad you're feeling better (I've read your next 2 blog entries by now:)

And thank you for the link to your tutorial on shaped text paths in PS...awesome tutorial and page! It worked...my Jack Frost layout from a couple days ago put the tutorial to good use with a simple curved title:)
