We spent the first few days of the month in Virginia with family celebrating the fourth …
We managed a bit of pool time even though the weather turned chilly and barely hit 80.
Trent, my brother & I checked out the new brewery in town. We ordered the full flight to sample their 9 beers plus a couple pints of their root beer.
The kids had some fun with their baby cousin. Which, for Elise, meant stealing his toys and crawling over him.
We had an early birthday celebration for Dylan who will be six in less than 2 weeks now.
Elise found two new foods she liked – pancakes and pickles. Not together. 😉 The latter reminds me of her brother.
We watched “A Capitol Fourth” on TV and I gave Dylan a red glowstick to play with (easy, safe, indoor “firework” option) before the kids went to bed.
And, we successfully managed a family photo. Last year I couldn’t even get Dylan to pose with us and next year I’m betting I won’t be able to hold him! Thanks to my brother for taking it.
How did you celebrate the 4th?
