Crafting with nature is always fun. So is getting out for a walk. The fresh air, sunshine, and movement have us all feeling better! We took advantage of nice weather this week to do just that. While outside, we collected a few colorful leaves to enjoy and make a Leaf Suncatcher with. Here are the step by step instructions to create your own.
Leaf Suncatcher Supplies
- Paper Plate
- Scissors
- Clear Contact Paper
- Assorted Dried Leaves
Instructions
Step 1 Take a walk outside and collect colorful fallen leaves from the ground.
Step 2 Cut out the center of a paper plate. (This is best done by adults.)
Step 3 Cut a piece of clear Contact paper large enough to cover the hole in the plate. Peel off the backing and adhere in place.
Step 4 Choose leaves and start placing onto the sticky side of the contact paper. Fill as much as desired. (Cat assistant optional.)
Step 5 Cut a second piece of clear Contact paper and adhere over the leaves to seal them in.
Step 6 Take outside, hold to a light source, or hang in a window to enjoy the colorful design you created!
