The years really do fly by once you become a parent. I’m still wrapping my head around the fact that Dylan will celebrate his 7th birthday next month. He’s obsessed with Minecraft so, not surprisingly, he asked for that as the theme of his party this year.

A couple months ago he started a list for me of *all* the things we would need for his party. All the way down to cups and plates. I had to laugh because it’s further proof of how much alike the two of us are.

One of the items on his list, of course, was party favors. He wasn’t sure exactly what he wanted so we worked together to compile a list of Minecraft Party Favor Ideas. My personal favorite is #6. Take a look HERE and tell me which is your favorite?

Now we just have to narrow down the list and finish making our favor bags. Thankfully, he’ll help me with those too – another way we are alike. Two crafty peas in a pod. 🙂

My son wanted a Minecraft party, too. My concession was to make Minecraft bricks out of cake and stack them into a world. Fortunately, he and his friends though it was pretty cool. I wish I'd had this list then! #client

That's a great idea! I may have to do that for the cake. I usually do cupcakes, but he's specifically requested a cake this year.
