Mothers Day 2016: Strawberry Picking

Mother’s Day 2016: Strawberry Picking

May 9, 2016 Sarah Coggins

We’ve made a tradition of picking strawberries at a local farm on (or close to) Mother’s Day each year. Yesterday was no exception. The weather was perfect. Warm, sunny, and a nice breeze to keep us from getting too hot while we picked.

This year both kids were picking berries and we filled our bucket fast! We’re eating them pretty quickly, but I’m definitely going to try a couple of recipes as well with them.

How did you celebrate Mother’s Day?

We didn't make this year and when I looked, our super local patch was closed. I need to follow up and see if they are open anymore this year! And, please make a strawberry pie with it. It's my favorite and I haven't had one this year!
