Project 52 Photos: Week 45 Macro - Jumping Spider 2

Project 52 Photos: Macro

November 14, 2015 Sarah Coggins

Finally, the rain has stopped and the sun has returned! Plus Dylan started his latest track out from year round school on Wednesday so we have spent a lot of time out of the house and outside as much as possible the past couple of days.

For this week’s Project 52 Photos challenge I played around with the macro option on the Camera+ app on my iPhone. I originally thought I’d capture something “cute” or “pretty.” Some people might use those terms on these photos, but not me! Honestly, it was more curiosity than anything that had me snapping photos of this tiny, hairy looking spider (a “jumping” spider best I can determine per Google – don’t, I repeat, don’t Google spiders … ) that Dylan found on a portion of a rope climb structure at the Museum of Life + Science in Durham on Thursday afternoon.

The sun was pretty harsh and that little guy could (and did!) move quick. A tricky subject to capture. Next time, remind me to go the “pretty” route. 😉
