Project 52 Photos: Technology

April 2, 2015 Sarah Coggins

I took this photo of Dylan playing a game on my iPad last night. It still amazes me how fast technology is changing in general and within our own lives. This photo wouldn’t have been possible a year ago as we didn’t even own a tablet at the time. Now it’s something that we all use daily (well, all except Elise, of course). Besides games, he also uses it to do his reading homework and we have an app to check on his behavior at school – both new things in the last couple of months.

We got our older two tablets for Christmas, and they love them. J's son is particularly obsessed with it - we have to keep an eye on how much time he spends on it. The other two have a good balance though. :)

Limiting screen time is a must and somedays a battle, but not too bad. That one is mine (gift from the boys last Mother's Day) and Trent has one since I won one at Type-A Conference last September. Dylan has to ask one of us to use them. I do prefer that to the computer though as he doesn't full understand "gentle" in regards to the keyboard! LOL
  • It is truly amazing how they pick it up so quickly, and how fast it all moves, great photo

This is a great photo. And isn't it amazing how fast these things become part of our everyday life and how quickly kids pick up on them?
