Project 52 Photos 2016: Week 1

Project 52 Photos: Week 1 – At the Office

January 8, 2016 Sarah Coggins

To continue to challenge myself to use my camera(s) regularly and improve my photography skills, I’m once again attempting to take a photo a day. This year being a leap year, that actually makes it a “Project 366” instead of 365. Last time I tried this was in 2009 – the year Dylan was born. And, hard to believe as it is, I actually didn’t get a photo every day. I fell off after he arrived. That surprised me. I feel like I take so many photos of my kids on daily basis – how could I miss a day (actually several) during his infancy?

All of that said, I’ve begun again and have been successful so far, but have decided each week, I’ll share just one – my favorite photo I’ve taken during the week.

Project 52 Photos 2016: Week 1

This photo I took on Sunday afternoon. One of Elise’s new skills is getting herself seated at our little Ikea kids’ table. She tends to leave the toy laptop there and I jokingly call this “her office” as I’ll find her sitting her at various times of the day focused on that toy and hard “at work.”

At this particular moment, both kids were quiet and I found them together “working” – her on the toy laptop and Dylan on the toy phone. Not every moment is this blissful, but I am so grateful they enjoy each other’s company and look forward to watching their relationship grow.

Are you participating in a photo challenge this year?
