Finally, a week where we are all healed (okay, minus one child falling and scraping his knees the same day the other child fell and split her lip – it’s never dull around here!). We had a busy week with everyone back to their normal routines plus I had a couple blogging related events. Thankfully, one of the calmer afternoons, Elise & I spent some time playing outside and she pointed out this single dandelion in our side yard. It can be easy to miss the small details when we get caught up in everything else.
I had my DSLR outside with us and decided to play around to see what I could get. As I literally laid on my belly to take a few shots, I noticed something else I would not have seen if I hadn’t paused to really see this – the little spider. While I snapped away, we watched him move from one side to the next and eventually lower.
Afterwards, I showed Elise how to blow and watch the seeds fly away. She was in awe and then “uh oh!” I suppose at 18 months, it may have seemed ruined. Instead I probably just succeeded in spreading the weed in our yard. 😉
How was your week? Did you find time to stop and smell the roses or blow the dandelion seeds?
Linking up with Photo Friday.
