I captured this moment between my daughter and her neighborhood bestie on Tuesday during a visit to the Museum of Life + Science in Durham. The girls had fun exploring together.

We started in one of the outdoor exhibits. Toward the back was a small house. The girls ran in one after the other. When they paused to peek out the single window together, I snapped a couple of quick shots. This particular one was my favorite – pressed side by side, heads together. Neither speaks full sentences yet, but I’m sure whatever bit of conversation they had in this moment was important.
