Saturday w/ My Sister

February 22, 2009 Sarah Coggins

Yesterday my sister drove over to meet me for a day of shopping. We started with lunch at California Pizza Kitchen where I snapped a photo for my Project 365.

Then while she headed to a hair appointment, I went to Archiver’s to complete a make ‘n take album which will be perfect for baby brag photos. 🙂 And picked up a few baby papers.

Afterwards, we went to store after store looking at shoes and maternity clothes. The maternity clothes were the most frustrating – very little in stock, expensive, fit funny and did I mention expensive?? When we left the mall I’d found just one pair of jeans in a department store on sale that worked and fit the budget. On the suggestion of an employee in Gap, we headed to the shopping center across the street to see what Old Navy had. Again, very small selection although I did buy one pair of super comfy black pants and a hot pink 3/4 sleeved top as well as these adorable little clothes for my baby. They were clearanced out – $7.50 for all three (vs. $30 at full price).

My Mommie loves CPK! Her favorite is the pear and gorgonzola pizza.

I LOVE CPK :) I wanted to go to A's to do that album, too, but never made it there this weekend :( Looks like you had a great time with your sister. Love the outfits, but sorry to hear you're having such a hard time finding clothes. What about Kmart? They used to have some cute maternity clothes. Or even JCPenneys or Sears?

Love the baby outfits! I know what you mean about maternity clothes. I don't sew, but I ended up having my aunt make a few jumpers (dresses) for me in a pattern I liked. Much more affordable!

Ok, best maternity clothes advice EVER...FIND a consignment store that sells maternity and children's clothing...I bought lots of stuff at vastly reduced prices and much of it was very good brands like Motherhood:) Totally not worth brand-new prices for a few months, though sometimes you just have to.
