Spring Carnival

May 4, 2015 Sarah Coggins

Each spring our son’s elementary school hosts a spring carnival. Anyone is welcome, but this was our first time attending. Understandably, as a kindergartener, this is a very big deal. 😉 So we loaded up our family of four on Saturday morning and headed to school.

Spring Carnival May 2015

Supplies: Photo Clusters by Shirley Polk Designs; Document Your Joy by Meredith Cardall.

The event literally wrapped the entire building. There were inflatables, a climbing structure, games, food trucks, silent auction, etc. Being the easily amused parent I am, I posed immediately at the beginning of our day in this funny clown cutout.

A far cry from my best photo ever, but certainly proof that I jump in and have fun with my kids. Elise was actually strapped to me in the baby carrier during this. No worries, I had one hand on her to be sure I didn’t bump her head on it. Notice the other hand where I’m holding on? Um, yeah, naturally there was a step ladder behind there for kids and I almost tripped on it! Thankfully, I managed to stay on my feet, but I did fail to convince either Dylan or Trent to get a photo. I actually failed to get a photo of Trent at all during the carnival. Oops. Mental note to self to get someone to take a family photo of all of us next time so we all “exist.”

How did you spend your weekend?

Sounds like you all had fun. :) Most of the time when I remember my camera, I don't get any good shots either lol.

We had a great time and left fully exhausted - well, minus the baby since she got in 2 naps!
