On a Friday night a couple of weeks ago, a friend asked if we were interested in joining her family for Saturdays in Saxapahaw, a weekly Saturday event in Saxapahaw, NC. We had known of it, but never been. I’m not sure why except maybe the drive which was a good 45 minutes from our home. Nonetheless, we made a quick decision to go for it, load up the kids & necessities, and join them for this little adventure.
Supplies: My Tribe by Gennifer Bursett.
The event featured live music, a farmer’s market, face painting, bubble making, water slide, etc. We picnicked and just enjoyed being out with our friends. The kids (well, minus my tiny one!) had fun running around playing freely while Trent & I had a chance to catch up with our friends. Although, you could joke they were all imaginary since I have no photos of our friends or Trent. But they were there. Honest. 🙂 I was just caught up in the moment and didn’t get too many photos. A rare event for me, I know.
This was a perfect example of Summer in the Moment. Allison & I are both embracing this idea this year.
Toss the bucket list. Toss the stress. Just go, live, and enjoy the summer.
I shared last year about how much I enjoyed summer without a bucket list and how we really did accomplish a lot. Both Allison & I will be sharing our adventures throughout the next couple months using the hashtag #SummerintheMoment. Please join in! We’d love to see how you enjoy your summer too.
Do you have a favorite “must do” during the summer? Or place you enjoy going?
