Summer always equals a baseball game or two for us. Before kids, Trent & I had a mini-plan for the Durham Bulls. Post kids? Well, we do our best to get there as we can.
During FanFest in March, we bought tickets for last week’s day game since it timed perfectly with our son’s track out and we didn’t have to worry about being out past bedtime (both kids are now going to bed around 8pm – don’t want to mess with that!). Our daughter even managed to nap during part of it snuggled up to me in the Baby K’Tan wrap.
Supplies: Play Ball by Robyn Meierotto; Home Run by Kate Winiecki; Today brushes by Karla Dudley; All American elements by Karen Funk; The Scary Stuff mini kit by Dawn by Design; In Good Company collaboration from Pixels & Company.
And apparently this was the day of “selfies” – I took one with the Wool E Bull statue while strolling the concourse getting our daughter to sleep (proof I’m easily amused 😉 and need a selfie stick! haha). Our best family photo was a selfie I shot after returning to our seats (well, to not climb over people, I grabbed one on an empty row in front of us). And later I discovered Dylan took one of himself during the ride home on our point & shoot camera.
I did manage to get one “non selfie” shot of myself as we headed into the game with my new backpack style diaper bag I won from JJ Cole – perfect replacement for the one I’ve been using over 5 years now!
Of all the things we packed the diaper bag with for the game, I forgot 2 items – a pen so our son could fill out the score chart in the game day magazine and copies of our Baseball I Spy game. I had them printed. Just forgot. Next time.
Do you have a favorite local sports team (or two? or three?) that you like to cheer for?
